Description
The SKYLIGHT PENT 4 x 6 plastic garden shed is made by CANOPIA – PALRAM, a global supplier of quality green houses and storage solutions.  The CANOPIA – PALRAM sheds are manufactured from tough polycarbonate plastic which ensures that  they are virtually unbreakable. The SKYLIGHT PENT 4 x 6 plastic shed is particularly useful where space is limited; for example, between the house and a fence.
Because polycarbonate is not as rigid as polypropylene resin which is more commonly used in plastic garden sheds, the CANOPIA – PALRAM SKYLIGHT units are reinforced with aluminium and galvanised steel frame components for increased durability and rigidity. Â Good access is provided with the lockable door and an access ramp makes moving lawnmowers and wheelbarrows easy. Assembly is straightforward and requires only commonly used household tools.
COLOUR –Â available in MIDNIGHT GREY
TOUGHÂ – the polycarbonate wall and roof panels have not only very high impact resistance, they also have good UV stability and can stand extremes of hot and cold weather.
SKYLIGHT ROOFÂ – another innovative feature of the CANOPIA – PALRAM SKYLIGHT garden shed is the translucent polycarbonate roof, which allows daylight into the unit. Â This makes windows unnecessary, saving cost and increasing security. Â The roof is opaque, ensuring privacy and preventing harmful UV rays from damaging stored items.
VENTILATEDÂ – vents in the top of the front and rear walls are a standard feature on the SKYLIGHT sheds.
MAINTENANCE FREEÂ – plastic sheds are not affected by rotting, rusting or paint peeling off, and do not require any upkeep other than an occasional wash down to clean off any accumulated dust or dirt.
FLOOR INCLUDEDÂ – the anti-slip floor is an integral part of the structure; there is no need for a concrete slab or timber floor structure – all you need is a levelled site.
EASY TO ASSEMBLEÂ – clear and easy to follow instructions are supplied with each unit making installation simple and straight forward.

Note, the following details apply to this product and its delivery.
We send a tracking number for all deliveries by email, it will take 1-3 business days to get your tracking email generally.
If delivery is by Mainfreight, they will call to arrange a weekday delivery with you. A working phone number is essential and please check your messages if you have a missed call.
Someone will need to be present on the day to sign for the goods and potentially assist the driver. Generally, deliveries will be next to the truck, so wherever the truck has access to is where your item will be dropped off. The driver generally cannot move items into backyards or your home due to OHS regulations. If the truck cannot get into the driveway (no driveway, too narrow, too steep), the only option may be to unload on the nature strip.
If your delivery included polystyrene, cardboard, pallet etc, it is the customers responsibility to dispose of these. This also applies to damaged parts, if, on the rare occasion, we need to send a replacement part we do not retrieve the damaged one.
If an item arrives with damaged parts (rare but it can happen in transit sometimes) replacement parts will be sent, not a brand new item.
Returns, yes we do offer returns, the return postage is paid for by the customer, we also have the right to claim the cost of freight that we incurred to send the item to you. If returning an item because of a damaged part, the cost to return the item would be paid for by the customer, as outlined under consumer law, opting not to accept a replacement part to fix a damaged product means the consumer covers return freight costs if they want to return and refund. Goods must be received in their original packaging and fit for resale.

Helpful to know before starting:
• It is possible, but not advisable, to build this shed by yourself but is easier with an extra person to help at times. I did, it took around 5 hours (and I am not a ‘handy’ person, nor very tall). I had to improvise a bit to hold up panels etc.
• Tools: I used a regular phillips screwdriver for the whole thing, however I did use an electric screwdriver to make holes in the door panel at the end (I’m not sure how else you’d be able to make the holes, this step convinced me that the ‘flimsy’ panels are actually as strong as they claim to be). I also needed a ladder at several points, though a tall person probably wouldn’t.
• You can hang the door from either end and hinge it from either side, however you’ll need to work out where to situate the aluminium frame pieces correctly for screw holes etc. to line up so it is best to decide this before you begin.
• The panels should be shiny side facing in – the instructions don’t make this clear.
• The aluminium frame pieces have stickers with the id number on them. It helps to sort them out before starting. Same with the screws – they all come mixed together in one bag. It’s helpful to sort them before beginning.
• Occasionally the measurements weren’t quite close enough – holes inaccessible to screws or a slightly too long frame piece. It just made construction slightly harder.
• The instructions were ok – not great, but ok.
(The last three points were particularly noticeable for me because I built the Keter Optima Wonder cupboard right before the shed, and that was so well organised and constructed it was hard not to compare.)
• This shed does not come with an anchoring kit but it needs one – the finished product is so lightweight that it needs the extra stability. I wish the listing had noted this.
• A stable, completely flat and level base is a requirement. Mostly flat, slightly lumpy, gently sloping will not work as the shed has a lot of movement even when finished, and the included floor is very thin.
• Definitely don’t attempt to build it in windy weather.
After construction – it is possible (actually easy) to move this shed to its location after construction (two people). It is really lightweight! I think it would work best in a sheltered area as it still has a lot of ‘movement’ so I think strong wind will move it around a lot (hence the need for anchoring it to the base). Functionally, it fits a reasonable amount in it (you can’t lean heavy stuff against the wall though), construction wasn’t too difficult, and overall I’m happy with it.

Good quality, well packaged, comes with all the necessary bits and bobs, easy to assemble. Don’t let the initial panel flimsiness put you off, these panels are tough plastic and quite rigid once installed on the metal framework.
Allow half a day to do a good job, especially if you plan on changing the door’s position. If you’re methodical and patient, it’s enjoyable and easy.
Happy days!

Naomi summed it up well. it takes approx 5 hours. Mine was a bit more like 6 . Instructions could have been easier, as I had to give it a break and digest before proceeding again. Once done properly and with stuff like ladders, mower and other garden tools put in , it feels more solid on its feet without having to anchor. You can even mount a few hooks up near the roof and hang tools around. I managed to hang a heavy leaf blower up there. It makes the shed more grounded. (Warning – You knowledge in physics would have to apply in this case as to where to hang them without damaging damages). If you love building something on your own and the challenges to go with it. It’s s definitely for you. It make you appreciate how things work and the process of making it happen. The only down side is, although fun, it’s little too time consuming for me.
